The 2008 Health Conference

Government minister Syvia Brustad, from the Ministry of Health and Care Services, with the Directorate of Health organised the 2008 Health Conference. This annual event is held so that that managers from the Norwegian health service can meet and learn from each other, exchange experiences, strengthen contacts and discuss how the health service can be improved in the future. This year, the Health conference was held at the Oslo Plaza Hotel on the 6th and 7th of May. Almost 900 delegates took part, and through lectures and plenary debates, they were given an insight into social inequality and interaction between the services.

Through lectures and discussions, divided into four different themed sessions, the six mainstays of the National Health Plan 2007-2010 were presented. Well-being and interaction, proximity and safety, the increased  role of the user, democracy and legality, discipline and quality together with work and health. Expology developed the content of the parallel sessions and created the tools to increase involvement in the discussion.
